St. Peter

St. Peter is the central locality of the Villnöss valley. It is divided into two parts: a lower one, which is located around the chapel of S. Michael at the valley bottom, and an upper part on the sunny slope with the parish church at its very core.

Here you can find also the municipal hall, the post office and the tourist office. The community hall, the library and suitable rooms for the different cultural associations and the traditional Villnöss band, as well as a doctor's surgery,  are accommodated inside the complex on the hill "Schleierbühel".

Villnöss valley is also well know for the legendary mountaineer Reinhold Messner, who spent his childhood in St. Peter and where he discovered his passion for the mountains.

St. Peter is also a perfect starting point for easy hikes.
