The mountains and walls of rock of the
Dolomites are an attraction for climbers, fueled by hunger for the extraordinary, and therefore, the rock climbing areas of the Val di Funes are particularly interesting.
The large boulders at
“Würzjoch/Passo delle Erbe” are located at the foot of the Sass de Putia/Peitlerkofel and are harmoniously embedded into the surrounding natural landscape. However, over time, the area has fallen into oblivion, but thanks to the intervention of the AVS in 2003, the climbing area has been redeveloped ad expanded. Nowadays these climbing walls are quite popular and climbers can enjoy approximately 50 routes ranging from 4 to 8b. Further information about the climbing are
"Würzjoch/Passo delle Erbe".
The climbing area
“Zanser Alm/Malga Zannes”, near the "Adolf Munkel Trail", is located at the foot of the north face of Furchetta and offers about 50 routes of all difficulties, from 3 to 8a. The surrounding environment is suitable also for children with a breathtaking panoramic view. This climbing area is a popular destination for climbing courses. Unfortunately, some routes became shorter after a landslide. Further information about the climbing area "
