The farmers’ festival (Bauernfestl) at Teis, which will take place on 20th October 2024, is one of South Tyrol’s most traditional festivals and a true journey of discovery through the crafts and customs of the Funes/Villnösser Valley. On the festival, you’ll learn how to do old farm crafts such as baking bread, weaving baskets and hats, felting, carving and pottery – of course, you can also just watch if you wish. Adults and children alike will love learning the fun way. The sheep shearing is especially popular with children. At the farmers’ market that forms part of the festival, there are fresh products on offer; freshly prepared, rustic specialties are also served, while musical groups play in the charming village lanes.
The festival takes place even in inclement weather, with beginning at 10.00 am at Tiso/Teis at centre of the village.
